Verona – Via della diga - realization of two rugby courts

At the first time project falls within the achievement of the project of redevelopment of the Santa Marta and Passalacqua former barracks but for organizational problem the project was moved to North Adige Park of municipal property.

The project concerns the realization of a sporting center with two rugby fields (one with official dimensions and another one for training), changing rooms, stands without covering for 1500 people, a public parking and pedestrian ways  to access to the area in the Adige North Park – own by municipality administration.

The project is designed to be easily manageable and well joined in the surrounding urban plot by a functional vision. The access ways are studied on their uses, then the athletes access is different from public entrance.    

The structural works concern the foundations for support of the prefabricated elements, changing rooms and needs foundations for the light poles of the rugby fields.

Foundations of changing rooms are constituted by trellis foundation with a stiffness necessary to guarantees very small yieldings for their weight and for users weight. The span of foundation is 2 meters in order to divided in same part the module of 6 meter.

In occupied area by prefabricated modules there's a grid for the meteoric water.

The light pole are made on foundation elements with dimensions coherently calculated in function of their loads.

The automatic irrigation system for both play courts with hidden irrigation apparatus is supplied by the water main. The terrain drainage is obtained by playground stratigraphy and layer slope   

The play court illumination is realized by the replacement of existent poles in the rugby fields inside former barracks Passalacqua area plus adding other illumination poles in order to improve the actual sight - that is already in accordance to the sport law standards.

Moreover on the flat roof of the prefabricated building (changing rooms) are situated solar panels  for producing hot water necessary to use this sporting center – this system is opportunely hidden.
